A little about me..

BSc (Med). MBBS (Hons).
I am an Obstetrician and Urogynaecologist in the St George Area, and a Conjoint Associate Professor at UNSW. I was born and raised in Southern Sydney and went to Endeavour High School in Caringbah where I was School Captain and Dux of School in 1987. I attended Medical School at the University of New South Wales and graduated with honours. I was an intern at St George Hospital in 1994 and was awarded a scholarship to undertake a PhD at UNSW. I trained for two years in London to advance my skills. I undertook further training in the urogynaecology subspecialty training program at St George and St Vincents Hospitals to become a certified urogynaecologist in 2005 after which I was appointed as a consultant at St George Hospital. Here I continue to provide services including delivery suite, the pelvic floor unit, and the running of a clinic for women sustaining severe birth injuries.
I am involved with teaching medical students, midwives and doctors and I run courses for medical and midwifery staff on prevention techniques for severe birth injuries and how to repair them. I conduct research and continue to publish in the scientific literature. Nationally, I am the Chairman of the RANZCOG CU Training Committee and a college examiner. Internationally I am on the IUGA Fellowship Committee and the International Advisory Board for Oceania. I am married with two children.

Pregnancy Care

My job is to look after couples through their pregnancy and childbirth to guide, educate and calm their fears along the way.

Listening and understanding a woman’s needs is paramount to provide the care that is right for them and their own personal situation

My role assessing and treating women with urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse ( bladder, bowel and uterus). Assessments can include a 4D ultrasound and urodynamic studies in my consulting suite to investigate such problems.
