Professional Journey
I am an Obstetrician and Urogynaecologist based in the St George Area and a Conjoint Associate Professor at UNSW. A Southern Sydney native, I attended Endeavour High School in Caringbah, serving as School Captain and Dux in 1987.
I pursued my medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with honours. My career began as an intern at St George Hospital in 1994, where I also received a scholarship to pursue a PhD at UNSW.
To further my expertise, I trained for two years in London, enhancing my surgical skills before completing my subspecialty training in urogynaecology at St George and St Vincent’s Hospitals.
In 2005, I achieved certification and was appointed as a consultant at St George Hospital, where I contribute to the delivery suite, the pelvic floor unit, and manage a clinic for women with severe birth injuries.
I have had the privilege of caring for over 4000 women. My commitment to women’s health continues to be driven by a passion for providing excellent care and advancing the field through education and research.
Expert Care, Personalised Approach
I am deeply involved in teaching medical students, midwives, and doctors, and lead courses focused on preventing and repairing severe birth injuries. My research continues to be published in respected scientific journals.
Nationally, I serve as the Chairman of the RANZCOG CU Training Committee and as a college examiner. Internationally, I am part of the IUGA Fellowship Committee and the International Advisory Board for Oceania.
Personal Life
I am happily married with two children, and I remain committed to advancing both my field and the quality of care provided to my patients.
